The Save option on the Session menu provides an interface for saving the current geometry, solution, and data base to a HyperXtrude restart output file. Selecting this option invokes immediate action, without accessing an associated panel. The file name used by the Save option is either the default save file jobname.save.phx, where jobname is the first part of the input gridfile, or the restart formatted save file name. Save continues to append the current geometry, solution, etc. to the active save file until a new file is designated. The default formats used for writing the file are shown on the Save panel, and cannot be modified between successive saves to the same file. During the save operation a message appears on the screen containing the name of the save file.
