Two methods are available to position components:
To Autoposition Components (Two Parts)
| 1. | Click translation part: comps and select the components to translate. | 
| 2. | Click reference part: comps and select the components that are to remain stationary. | 
| 3. | Select toggle w/reference. | 
| 4. | Define the direction of approach to autoposition the component. | 
| 5. | Click adjust to autoposition components. | 
| • | with reference: the translation part is adjusted with respect to the reference part based on the direction specified. | 
| • | without reference: you must specify x, y and z translation for the translation part. | 
 
To Autoposition Components and Define Contacts (Multiple Parts)
| 1. | Click punch: comps, and then select the punch component. | 
| 2. | Click binder: comps, and then select the binder component. | 
| 3. | Click die: comps, and then select the die component. | 
| 4. | Click blank: comps, and then select the blank component. | 
| 5. | To define contacts between the tools and blank, select the checkbox for create contact with blank. | 
| 6. | Define the moving part as the punch or die. | 
| 7. | Define the direction of the moving part. | 
| 8. | (LS-DYNA only) If required, specify the drawbead height (db ht). |
