. 1. Choose
File > Open (CTRL+O), or click .
2. In the Look In list, click the drive and directory containing the diagram you want to open.
Note: If you want to open a VSMX diagram with Embed 2021.1 or earlier, you have to change the file extension to VSM in order to open it.
3. Select the diagram and click Open, or press ENTER.
4. If protection has been applied to the diagram, enter the password to open the diagram.
To open a recent block diagram
1. Choose File (ALT+F).
2. Select from the list of recently opened files at the bottom of the menu.
To automatically open the last diagram viewed
You can automatically open the last diagram viewed when you start Embed.
To open a VSMX diagram with a version of Embed that does not support VSMX format
Embed 2021.1 and earlier versions do not support VSMX diagrams.
1. Open the VSMX diagram with any archiver software.
2. If no third-party archivers are installed, change the file extension from VSMX to ZIP so Windows will be able to read the file.
3. Copy all the files, except the one named descriptor, to the destination directory of your choice.
Note: The files must reside in the same destination directory.
4. Using your version of Embed, open the VSM file whose name matches the archive name.
