Viewing the Input Reflection Coefficient

Plot the input reflection coefficient on a Cartesian graph in dB.

The model was solved at a single frequency only. Therefore the graph will contain a single data point.

Create a new Cartesian graph.

  1. On the Home tab, in the Create new display group, click the  Cartesian icon.

Add the input reflection coefficient to the Cartesian graph.

  1. On the Home tab, in the Add results group, click the  Source data icon. From the drop-down list, select WaveguideSource1.

View the input reflection coefficient in dB.

  1. On the result palette, in the traces panel, select WaveguideSource1.
    1. On the quantity panel, select the dB check box.

Add annotations to the graph.

  1. On the Cartesian context tab, on the Measure tab, on the Custom annotations group, click the  Points icon. From the drop-down list, click  Global max.
Note: The annotation shows that the power reflected back to Port1 is more than 30 dB lower than the power applied to the same port.
