Advanced Properties of Sinkage and Shearing

From the advance properties, you can choose different properties for longitudinal and lateral directions.

Description

The soil link interaction model is based on Bekker, Janosi, and McKyes approaches. The basic properties are described in Basic Soil Properties and Basic Properties of Sinkage and Shearing. This section explains different plastic properties at each contact point of a track link. All data in this section should be in the non-dimensional form. The non-dimensional data is converted to dimensional data based on the input of Basic Soil Properties and Basic Properties of Sinkage and Shearing.

Parameters

CJ1
Cohesion, C of the Janosi approach, for the longitudinal direction.
The dimensional value: CJ1=Cbasic*CJ1.
CJ2
Cohesion, C of the Janosi approach, for the lateral direction.
The dimensional value: CJ2=Cbasic*CJ2.
PHIJ1
Angle of internal friction, Φ, of Janosi, for the longitudinal direction.
The dimensional value: PHIJ1=PHIbasic*PHIJ1.
PHIJ2
Angle of internal friction, Φ, of Janosi, for the lateral direction.
The dimensional value: PHIJ2=PHIbasic*PHIJ2.
KJ1
k of Janosi, for the longitudinal direction.

The plasticity factor of the shearing 0≤AS1≤1.
The index 1 indicates the longitudinal direction.
The factor is used to simulate the plasticity effect using the Janosi equation.

AS2
The plasticity factor of the shearing 0≤AS2≤1.
The index 2 indicates the lateral direction.
The factor is used to simulate the plasticity effect using the Janosi equation.
The dimensional value: AS2=ASbasic* AS2.
AM1
The plasticity factor of the grouser force 0≤AM1≤1.
The index 1 indicates the longitudinal direction.
The dimensional value: AM1=AMbasic* AM1.
AM2
The plasticity factor of the grouser force 0≤AM2≤1.
The index 2 indicates the lateral direction.
The dimensional value: AM2=AMbasic* AM2.
