OS-E: 1000 Grid Point Stress Response for Free-Shape Optimization

Grid point stress response of homogeneous material for Free-Shape Optimization is performed.

The objective is to minimize the max grid point stresses in a selected area. In this example, the 3D cylinder is modeled using first order Tetra elements.

Model Description

This example has a linear static analysis of a cylinder which has force applied on specific locations and constrained in all directions at the bottom. Grid point stress response are defined by setting RTYPE=GPSTR in DRESP1 card. The element used should be solid elements with PSOLID property. Grid point stress response of homogeneous material is supported for Shape and Sizing Optimization also.
