Can Run Analysis But Not Optimization
Condition
I can run analysis, but not optimization.
The model might not be sufficiently constrained (some parts are free to move). Also, contacts between parts may not be detected properly.
Remedy
To fix this, click Find Options on the Contact
tool's guide bar, deselect Auto search distance,
and enter a value. If the parts are separated, enter a larger value. But
if the parts are touching, try a smaller value. You can also change from
Surfaces to Parts on the guide bar to define contact pairs. Contact
detection issues are often related to poor CAD data.
