Assigning Storage Volumes to Storage Groups

After creating a storage volume, you can assign it to a storage group. If there are no storage groups, you need to create one and then add the storage volume to it.

To assign a storage volume to a storage group

1. On the Navigation Tree, click Report Warehouse, then click Storage and select Storage Groups.

2. Click the name of the storage group you want to assign a volume to or click anywhere on its row and then click .

3. Drag a storage volume from the Available Storage Volumes pane to the Assigned Storage Volumes|Copy# pane.

4. Under the Assigned Storage Volumes | Copy #, select either #1 or #2 to specify a copy number for the volume.

5. To assign the volume to the group, click Save .
