Terminals: definition (structure)
Definition
A Terminal is defined by:
- a name
- a type
- specific characteristics belonging to a type
Name
The name to identify the Terminal:
-
is allocated by Flux PEEC during the automatic creation of terminals, default names are TERM_”name of conductor” or “name of component”_1, …
The number at the end of the name indicates the place of the terminal along the conductor.
- is set by the user during the direct creation of terminals (terminals associated with the bidirectional conductors)
A comment (optional) can be added to the name.
Types of Terminals
The different types of Terminals and the characteristics useful for their description are presented in the table below.
Type | Characteristics |
---|---|
Terminal associated with a component | Associated component |
Terminal associated with a unidirectional conductor | Associated unidirectional conductor |
Terminal associated with a bidirectional conductor | Associated bidirectional conductor |
Terminal associated with a bidirectional conductor
The different types of Terminals associated with bidirectional conductors are presented in the table below.
