Declares that the distinction between long and short request names is valid.

long names

Import allows you to assign two names to each request. However, in many cases, only one name is needed (the longname). For this reason, Import assumes that the long and short names of a request are the same, unless long names have been declared.

One reason for distinguishing between the long and short name of a request is that some solver codes refer to requests both by a full name and by an abbreviation (or number), which should be preserved separately.

Short names are currently not displayed by the user interface. However, long and short names can be combined through mangling to produce a long name which contains the short name.

Components have only one name.
