Assigning the HAZ

Create and edit a virtual HAZ.

1. From the Friction Stir Welding ribbon, click the HAZ icon.
   
   
   The HAZ context is enabled and a default HAZ is created around the pin.
2. Modify the HAZ geometry with the microdialog.
   Update the dimensions to automatically update the HAZ geometry.

   
   
   

3. Right-click and mouse through the check mark to exit, or double-right-click.

Identify an HAZ that you've designed in a CAD tool and imported.

1. From the Friction Stir Welding ribbon, click the satellite icon on the HAZ tool.
   
   
2. Select the HAZ geometry.
