Altair HyperLife Weld Certification 2022 Release Notes
New Features
- Stress Life (SN) analysis Workflow for Welds
- The Stress Life (SN) analysis for welded area is available in HyperLife Weld Certification for Shell (2D) models. The weld detection utility (Mark Welds) is used to identify and organize the weld lines as per the HyperLife Weld Certification workflow. The evaluation points of the welds are available for review in the Points dialog where general properties like evaluation distance and type of material is reviewed and updated. Both Nominal and Hotspot approach are available for user selection. Also, Weld Category can be assigned to different locations together with material allowable properties. With this release, Time Series loading (Variable Amplitude, Constant Amplitude, Block Loading, and Duty Cycle) are supported.
- Stress Life (SN) Workflow for Unwelded
- The Stress Life (SN) analysis for unwelded area is available in HyperLife Weld Certification for Shell (2D) models. With this release, Time Series loading (Variable Amplitude, Constant Amplitude, Block Loading, and Duty Cycle) are supported.
Enhancements
- Equivalent Damage calculation formulae for EUROCODE 3 has been updated as per the regulation specifications.
- Several Graphical User Interface updates are incorporated in this release to be consistent with Standard HyperWorks utility icons.
- Enhancement to select Top and Bottom layer for Shell models.
- Rainflow flow output can be disabled under .
Known Issues
- In the case of skewed elements, there is an issue with stress transformation which causes the stresses to be inaccurate. This issue will be fixed in the upcoming release.
- In the case of O welds, the location entities are not identified correctly which may lead to missing elements in evaluation. This issue needs thorough investigation and will be fixed in the upcoming release.
- There is an issue with rotation of the co-ordinate systems yielding no results mostly observed with Abaqus models. This issue will be fixed in the upcoming release.
