Replace Geometry

Replace a part in your model with an alternative design.

1. Open or create a model.
2. Right-click the part you'd like to replace and select Part Replace, then do one of the following:
   • To import a new part from a CAD file, select From file, and then select a file.
   • To select an existing part in the current model, select From part, and then click a part.

Tip:

• If the geometry does not align or you have unexpected results, try turning off the Part Replacement: Auto Positioning option in the Preferences.
• When selecting a part from a CAD file, materials in the CAD file will not be read.
