Exception Dates

Use the Exception Dates page to add, edit and delete exception rules for disabling the running of certain processes at specific dates (e.g. holidays like New Year celebrations).

Note: At the date with a set exception, user will get a notification with a list of processes that will not be run that day.

To access the Exception Dates page

  1. On the Navigation Tree, click System Settings and select System Preferences.

  2. At the top of the page select the Exception Dates tab.

To add a new exception date

  1. Click the Add icon Add button.

  2. Enter an Exception Date name in the Name field.

  3. Enter a Description.

  4. Select the Suspended checkbox if you want to suspend the current Exception Date.

  5. Choose Affected Processes by selecting the respective checkboxes.

  6. For each affected process type (e.g., Standard Processes and Visual Processes), you may assign any or all of the available processes to the exception date.

    1. Click on the process type to open the list of available processes.

    2. Drag the preferred process to be assigned from the left panel to the right panel or click the add button .

    3. To remove an assigned process, drag it from the right panel to the left panel or click the delete button .

NOTE: You may also select all processes available for all process types by clicking Select All or remove all selected processes for all process types by clicking Select None.

If all available processes are assigned by clicking the Add button or Add All button, then all new processes will be added to the Available Processes list and will not be assigned to the exception date.

If all available processes are assigned by clicking the checkbox or Select All button, then all new processes will be assigned to the exception date.

  1. For the process behavior, select the Postpone Process execution checkbox if you want to execute the process immediately after the exception date. To let the process run on the set schedule, leave this option unchecked.

  1. Set up Exception Frequency by either selecting a single date or indicating a daily, weekly, or monthly occurrence.

In setting up the Exception Frequency, you can set all-day occurrence or set a specific timeframe.

NOTE: When setting a monthly occurrence, you can select the Business Day option. A business day is considered every official work day of the week; another common term is work(ing) day. These are the days between and including Monday through Friday.

  1. Click the Save button.

To edit an exception date

  1. Click the name of the exception date you want to change or click anywhere on the row, and then click Edit button.

  2. Make necessary changes. For details, see To add a new exception date.

To delete an exception date

  1. Click Delete end row at the end of the row with the exception date you want to delete.

  2. Click Delete to remove the exception date from the list.
