Control Workspace
Overview of the Control workspace.
Control is an easy-to-use web application for monitoring and managing jobs and nodes of an HPC cluster. Advanced analytics to support data-driven planning and decision making is also available. Lastly, administrators can perform what-if analysis for determining the most productive way to scale an HPC system's resources by running simulations.
Main Navigation Ribbon
- Cloud
- Use cloud bursting to run jobs in the cloud and have the ability to dynamically add or remove nodes based on demand.
- Monitor
- Monitor and manage an HPC cluster's nodes, jobs and allocations. Monitor is divided into the following sub-menus:
- PBS Professional
- Monitor and manage an HPC cluster's nodes, jobs and alerts. This menu is
divided into the following sub-menus:
- Dashboard
- View the total core and node usage over a day, a week, or a month.
- Jobs
- Monitor and manage jobs submitted to your HPC clusters.
- Nodes
- Monitor and manage your HPC cluster's nodes.
- Alerts
- Set alerts to monitor when nodes go offline, CPU utilization drop below or rises above a specified percentage, and when a cluster becomes unavailable.
- Allocation Manager
- Configure allocation periods, clusters and service units and manage allocation
budgets, accounts, and transactions.
- Budgets
- View the balance left in an account.
- Accounts
- View a summary of credits and debits that have been made against an account.
- Transactions
- View transactions for all accounts or drill-down into transactions for a specific account.
