What's New

New features available in Altair Access™ Web.

OpenID Connect for Single Sign-On

OpenID Connect (OIDC) is an authentication layer built on top of the OAuth authorization protocol used by Access Web. By integrating with Okta, the OIDC application provides user authentication and single sign-on (SSO) functionality.

Access Web Installation Process

Only trusted URLs with OIDC support can authenticate with Access Web. As a result, during installation, the Access Web installer will prompt you for a Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN). Users will use the hostname or IP address provided as the FQDN to access the portal.

The installation process now validates the folder permissions of the HOME and EXEC locations before proceeding with the installation.

Remote Desktops Enhancements

To improve performance, the bitrate of Remote Desktops is reduced when the mouse is moved. You can now configure Remote Desktops to drop the bitrate value when the user moves the mouse.

File Management Enhancements

Access Web now allows you to change file and folder permissions directly from the user interface. You can also grant permission to subfolders recursively.

View Active Users

Portal administrators can now see how many users are logged in and how many are active.

Deprecate LocalRefresh tag

LocalRefresh tag in application definiton argument is deprecated.

Security Vulnerabilities

Third-party libraries are updated to the most recent stable versions in order to address library-related security issues.
