Binary Files
Binary files contain data in binary code which contain both intelligible characters (numbers and text) as well as special characters such as line feed or system bell. AcuSolve utilities store these files with a .B extension.
Binary files are smaller in size compared to their ASCII counterparts. They have a compact storage format and can be read and written much quicker. Since binary files contain special characters as well as text, it is not possible to edit them directly. All of the programs in the AcuSolve suite support reading of binary format.
