Geometry importation

Introduction

This section presents all the stages necessary to perform the importation of geometries described in the most common MCAD (Mechanical Computer-Aided Design) formats like STEP, IGES and SAT files or native files from CATIA (v5) and Pro/E.

The import of CAD geometry in an Flux PEEC project is an operation consisting of turning the data from the CAD type (in a specified format) into geometric entities of Point, Line, Face and Volume type.
