Analysis

Analysis entities stores settings and entities for composite stress toolbox calculations.

In the composite stress toolbox, various analyses exist for which a combination of entities and/or additional settings are required. The analysis entity is a container for the necessary selections and allows for storing the analysis setups for easy re-run.

The items in the following table comprise analysis entity data.

Option Description
Name Name of the analysis.
Type Used to specify the analysis type.
  • Engineering constants
  • Load response/failure
  • Strength
Entity Entity or entities assigned to the analysis. Can be materials, plies, or laminates depending on analysis type.
Plate load Collections of loads with type “Composite plate load” (load response only).
FPF settings First_Ply_Failure design point method assigned to the analysis (strength and optionally load response).
