3D curve: New
Introduction
To post process the results, the user can trace local and global quantities in function of two others parameters on a 3D curve:
- 3D curve (2D grid)
- 3D curve (path + I/O parameter)
- 3D curve (2 I/O parameters)
Create a 3D curve (2D grid)
To create a 3D Curve (2D grid):
Step | Action |
---|---|
1 |
Open a dialog box New 3D curve (2D grid):
|
→ | A dialogue box Create … is opened |
2 | Enter a name and a comment (optional) associated with the 3D Curve |
3 | Select the desired support 2D Grid |
4 | Choose the region of computation to impose (optional) |
5 |
Choose one or more quantities to represent on the Z axis :
|
→ |
The formulas corresponding to the chosen components will appear in the 3rd column. There is also possibility to compose a formula (no defined in the list of proposed usual quantities) by opening beforehand the editor of formula by clicking in . |
6 | Validate by clicking on OK |
→ | The 3D curve (2D grid) is created and it appears in a new tab with the representation on a 3D graph. |
Create a 3D curve (path + I/O parameter)
To create a 3D curve (path + I/O parameter):
Step | Action |
---|---|
1 |
Open a dialogue box New 3D curve (path + I/O parameter):
|
→ | A dialogue box New… is opened. |
2 | Enter a name and a comment (optional) associated with the 3D curve |
3 | Select the support path desired on the X axis |
4 |
Choose and define the pilot parameter :
|
5 |
|
6 |

7 | Validate by clicking on OK |
→ | The 3D curve (path + I/O parameter) is created and it appears in the new tab with the representation on a 3D graph. |
Create a 3D curve ( 2 I/O parameters)
To create a 3D curve (two I/O parameters):
Step | Action |
---|---|
1 |
Open a dialogue box New curve 3D (two I/O parameters):
|
→ | A dialogue box New… is opened. |
2 | Enter a name and a comment (optional) associated with the 3D curve |
3 |
Choose and define the 1st pilot parameter:
Define the desired min and max limits of this parameter |
4 |
Choose and define the 2nd pilot parameter:
Define the desired min and max terminals of this parameter |
