When performing cleanup or defining simulation parameters, it can be helpful to first
find and isolate certain types of geometry. This will give you a better idea of the areas in
the model you need to focus on.
-
Click the arrow next to the Home tool set, then
select Find.
-
Select a geometry type from the guide bar.
- Optional:
Select specific entities to consider in the modeling window.
If entities are selected, the tool acts upon your selection. If no selection
made, it acts upon all displayed entities.
-
Select a method for filtering the geometry.
-
If necessary, provide a tolerance value, feature angle, or the like to further
filter your selection.
-
Select what to do with the found geometry.
-
Click
.
Note: Similar find and isolate functions are also available in the
context menus for surfaces, solids, and parts. These can be accessed either in idle
mode or within another tool.
