Create Attachments from FE Absorb

This option is used to create attachments from existing elements such as rigid patches or rigid spiders. You can specify the elements to be absorbed, or you can allow HyperMesh to search and find the suitable elements in the model. OptiStruct can realize attachments without elements but only as a nodeset.

  1. In the Connector Browser, right-click and select Create > Attachment > From FE Absorb.
    The Create Attachment Connectors dialog opens.
  2. In the Selection field, choose either Manual or Automatic from the drop-down list.
  3. If the FE Config field, select either Rigid Spider or Rigid Patch from the drop-down list.
  4. In the Filter Entity field, use the Elements selector to select the appropriate elements.
  5. Click Create to start the process.
