Subcase Information Entry The IC command may be used to select initial conditions for transient (structural and heat transfer) and explicit analysis.

Set identification number of TEMP, TEMPD, TIC Bulk Data Entries. Also, IC can point to the subcase ID of steady-state or transient thermal analysis.

Comments

  1. TIC Bulk Data Entries will not be used (therefore, no initial conditions) unless selected in the Subcase Information section.
  2. Initial condition for transient heat transfer needs to come from this entry, which needs to reference TEMP and TEMPD Bulk Data or the subcase ID of steady-state or another transient heat transfer subcase. If the IDs of TEMP/TEMPD and the subcase ID of steady-state or another transient heat transfer subcase are the same, the IDs of steady-state or transient heat transfer subcase take precedence.
