Operating mode

The operating mode for the user is given in the table below.

  • If a message of the type: « The group of volume regions name_reg_vol is not simply connected… » is displayed

  • then one must identify if there is a connectivity problem*

  • then in the menu Physical point on Cut… and click on Automatic creation

Note: * If in doubt as connectivity problems have never been easy to identify it is advisable to launch the command of automatic creation in the presence of objects not simply connected.

Operation

The operation of the automatic creation command (point of view software) is given in the table below.

Search for the holes at the level of the groups of volume regions of the type :

  • magnetic non conducting region (for the magnetic cores)
  • solid conductor type regions (for the electric loops)

For each hole, search for a face that can become the support of the cut.

  • If this exists, a cut of the type cut on the geometry is created
  • If not, pass to the step 3

3 For each hole, search for facets (on the volume elements) which can become the support of the cut, a cut of the type cut on the mesh is created
Searching for cuts on mesh
Attention: The automatic cuts created by the algorithm named of mesh swelling are associated to the mesh. The command for the destruction of the mesh destroys these cuts.
