Delete Flux entities linked with ACIS entities

Introduction

It is possible to delete geometric entities Object, Volume, Face, Line, Point using the command Delete Force.

The deleting of entities behaves differently depending on the type of geometry :

  • Geometry without ACIS link: built/imported outside the modeler context or with a version prior to Flux 11.2 version (included)
  • Geometry with ACIS link: built/imported inside the modeler context

"Delete" action

Geometry without ACIS link

(built outside modeler)

Geometry with ACIS link

(built inside modeler)

Force delete an Object No object if no ACIS link
  • Delete the chosen object
  • Delete all corresponding volumes/faces/lines/points
Force delete a Volume Delete the volume and faces/lines/points entities linked with this volume (provided they are not used elsewhere)
  • Delete the chosen volume
  • Delete all corresponding faces/lines/points (provied they are not use elsewhere)
  • Don't delete the object if it is composed by several volumes (Delete the corresponding object only if this object is composed by this single volume)
Force delete a Face Delete the face and volumes/lines/points entities linked with this face (provided they are not used elsewhere)
  • Search the high associated entities "Volume" and delete it
  • Delete all faces/lines/points corresponding to these volumes (provided they are not use elsewhere)
  • Don't delete objects if they are composed by several volumes (Delete the objects corresponding to these volumes only if these objects are composed by a single volume)
Force delete a Line Delete the line and volumes/faces/points entities linked with this line (provided they are not used elsewhere)
Force delete a Point Delete the point and volumes/faces/lines entities linked with this point (provided they are not used elsewhere)

Functionality « Remove Volume »

A geometric operation* allowing to remove a volume in an object composed by several volumes without delete this object, is available.

This functionality is accessible:

  • By menu : Correction&Simplification > Remove volumes > New
  • By icon :

This functionality correspond to Force delete of the volume
