Grant PBS Manager Privileges

Define the users who have PBS Manager privileges.

A Manager is authorized to use all restricted capabilities of PBS. A PBS Manager may act upon the server, queues, or jobs.
Managers can do the following:
  • All operations that Operators can perform
  • Create or delete queues or vnodes
  • Set all Server, queue, and vnode attributes, including Server ACLs
  1. Click the Configure tab.
  2. Choose the HPC to configure.

  3. Click Security from the PBS Professional menu located on the left-hand side of the web page.
  4. Click located to the right of Managers.
  5. For Managers, enter a comma separated list of users:

    Users must be entered in the format: “user@host.sub.domain[,user@host.sub.domain...]”. The host, sub-domain, or domain name may be wildcarded with an asterisk (*).

  6. Click to save the change.
