Solve a parametric multi-step scenario
Definition: reminder
A parametric multi-step scenario is used to solve a non-transient application within a parametric analysis.
A parametric multi-step scenario is a scenario that defines the control of parameters, i.e. the values of parameters for computation steps.
Solve
To solve a parametric multi-step scenario, follow the steps below:
Step | Action |
---|---|
1 | Create a parametric multi-step scenario |
2 | Activate the Solve command |
3 |
Click on Solve solving scenario and in the list choose the scenario defined in step 1 |
4 | Click on OK |
→ | All the steps are solved. |
- Going to next step (without software stop) if a convergence problem / a modeling error occurred
Scenario with not solved or incorrectly solved steps
At the end of the solving process there can be not solved steps (modeling error) or incorrectly solved steps (slow convergence) in the fully processed scenario.
It is then possible to resume the solving process of those steps as presented in the table below.
To “reprocess” … | Then activate the Continue command … |
---|---|
one step which has not converged |
Choose the option Repeat on one step which has not converged and select the step in the table of incorrectly solved steps… |
all the steps which have not converged |
Choose the option Repeat on the steps which have not converged … |
To “reprocess” … | Then … |
---|---|
a step not solved (modeling error*) |
reconsider the description of the problem |
