Initialization by FE solution: particularities

Starting a TM application on the basis of the solution of a MH application

In the case of a TM application starting on the basis of the solution of a MH application, it is necessary to carry out the choice of the phase at the moment of the export of the FE solution.

In the most general case (standard operation *), choose the phase φ = 90° at the moment of the export of the FE solution.

Remember: *

  • Steady State AC Magnetic application: the sources are maximal while the phase is null (function in cosine)

  • Transient Magnetic application: the sources are maximal while the phase has the value π/2 (function in sine).

Starting a TM application on the basis of the solution of a TM application

In the case of a TM application starting on the basis of the solution on a TM application, it is necessary to take certain precautions with the cinematic coupling and/or with the circuit coupling.

  • Cinematic coupling: at the moment of export of the FE solution:
    • Note the value of the speed and of the position of the mechanical set in motion (translation or rotation)
    • Introduce these values in the Flux project 2 (initial values of the mechanical set in motion)
  • Circuit coupling: if the current/voltage source is described by means of a time formula, in the Flux project 2, move back in time the current/voltage source.
