In CFD modeling, input parts can have topology issues, like free surfaces and self-intersections, and part assembly
issues, such as parts with very close proximity and intersecting parts. Manually connecting these parts can be time
consuming and require expertise in certain tools. The Wrap tool can generate a watertight manifold model from dirty input with considerably less manual work.
When performing cleanup or defining simulation parameters, it can be helpful to first find and isolate certain types
of geometry. This will give you a better idea of the areas in the model you need to focus on.
Use the Edit tools to manually improve the quality of surface mesh
elements and nodes.
Smooth Elements
Use the Edit: Smooth tool to optimize the quality of selected elements.
Move Elements
Use the Edit: Move tool to move nodes, drag tria elements, modify holes and washers, and automatically optimize nodes and elements.
Split, Swap, Combine Elements
Use the Edit: Split tool to split quad elements and edges, combine tria elements, and swap element edges. Second order 2D elements are also supported.
Replace Nodes
Use the Edit: Replace tool to relocate and replace the positions of nodes.
Create and Delete Elements
Use the Edit: Create tool to create new 1D and 2D elements and delete elements.
