RD-E: 2200 Ditching
The ditching of an object into a pool of water is studied using ALE and SPH approaches. The simulation results are compared to the experimental data and to the analytical results.
The ditching of an triangular prism object into a pool of water is studied using the ALE and SPH Fluid Structure Interaction (FSI) modeling methods. The simulation results are compared to the experimental data and the analytical results. Last, the Radioss Multi-Domain technique is used with the ALE and SPH models to demonstrate the reduction in simulation time for FSI problems.
