Add/Edit Sleeve

If you haven't designed any sleeves in a CAD tool, you can create and edit virtual sleeves in Inspire Cast.

You can only create sleeves over risers that were created in Inspire Cast. If you imported a riser from CAD, import the sleeve too.

  1. Click the Casting tab.
  2. Click the Components icon.

  3. On the Sleeve icon, click Add/Edit Sleeve.

  4. Click a riser to create a sleeve around it.
The total number of risers is displayed above the Riser icon.
  5. Use the microdialog options to define the sleeve type, temperature, thickness, burning time, ignition temperature, and released heat.
  6. Optional: To create more sleeves, click a riser.
  7. Right-click and mouse through the check mark to exit, or double-right-click.
To edit a sleeve, click the Add/Edit Sleeve tool, and then click the sleeve.
