In CFD modeling, input parts can have topology issues, like free surfaces and self-intersections, and part assembly
issues, such as parts with very close proximity and intersecting parts. Manually connecting these parts can be time
consuming and require expertise in certain tools. The Wrap tool can generate a watertight manifold model from dirty input with considerably less manual work.
Use the Decimate tool to coarsen mesh based on a defined element size.
From the Discrete ribbon, click the Decimate tool.
Select surfaces or parts to consider.
Enter a size threshold.
Any input elements that have edge lengths smaller than this size value are
decimated.
Enter a feature angle constraint.
Any input elements that have a defined angle less than this value are
decimated. For inputs with higher curvature, define a higher angle to loosen the
constraint.
