Pick Info
Obtain results at one or more points/faces on the model.
- On the Project Tree, open the Analysis Workbench.
- Click (Pick info).
- In the dialog, select a Response type from the drop-down menu.
-
Depending on the analysis type, select one of the following in the drop-down
menu.
- For Fatigue, select the event.
- For Multi-loadcases, select the load case.
- For all other analyses, specify the Coordinate system.
-
Choose one of the following methods for specifying points:
Option Process Pick point - Select the Pick point radio button.
- In the modeling window, select points on the model surface.
Datum point set - Select the Datum point set radio button.
- Select the desired point set in the drop-down menu.
Pick face - Select the Pick face radio button.
- In the modeling window, select faces on
the model surface.Note: This option provides an average, min, and max of the result value over the selected face. In thermal analysis, the total thermal flux is provided along with average values.
Pick load - Select the Pick load radio button.
- Select the desired Force/Remote loads from the list.Note: This option is available for structural linear, dynamics, and multi-loadcase workbenches and lists Force/Remote face loads.
For static and multi-loadcase workbenches, the dialog shows average displacement components, and displacement in the direction of the load for loaded faces. Along with this, remote point displacements are now available in the Pick Info dialog when picking remote load. The modeling window highlights loaded faces and shows the average displacement along the load vector.
The dialog will display the points' coordinates, as well as analysis and results quantities. - Optional: Select the Evaluate average check box to determine average values between multiple selected points/faces.
- Optional: Select the Hide labels check box to hide the display of points' label and ID in the graphics.
-
For Structural analysis, evaluate rotation of a straight segment connecting any
two picked points.
- Select the Measure rotation of a segment between points check box.
- Select the desired two points from the list in the dialog.
- Optional:
Save info to a .csv file.
- Click Save to CSV and choose Save selected or Save all.
- In the dialog, enter a file name and select a save location.
- Click Save.
