LS model identification with MILS
Introduction
This document describes the procedure required to create the LS (Loss-Surface) model of a ferromagnetic steel sheet from experimental magnetic measurements using MILS (Altair FluxTM Loss-Surface Model Identifier).
An LS model identified by MILS is typically used in a Flux project to describe the hysteretical behavior of a region composed of stacked ferromagnetic steel sheets belonging to an electromechanical device (e.g., rotating electrical machines, actuators, and transformers). For further information on the LS model, including its theoretical basis and discussions on the experimental setup employed to generate the magnetic measurements required by MILS, please refer to the list of published works available here.
