SnRD Post Results Processing

This section of the document guides you through the process of post-processing. Using the following steps, you will be able to load the model and its corresponding result files and generate the plots required for the analysis and evaluation of the simulation results.

For a Static loadcase workflow, you can only perform the following operations -
  1. Post Processing, &
  2. Optimization

Sensitivity Analysis, I.e the risk and root cause analysis are not supported due to lack of modal sensitivity data for a linear static simulation.

For SnRD Post processing, the following file formats are required. These files are generated when you solve a solver deck on OptiStruct-

  • .H3D - HyperWorks X results file containing the modal displacement data.
The following sections in this chapter will take you through the steps of loading and post processing the results to evaluate squeak and rattle issues.
Note: For the tutorial purpose you can refer to below sections for the next steps in Static SnRD Post processing workflow -
  1. Launching SnRD Post
  2. SnRD Post Processing Tutorial
Note: For Quality Feel (Static) Analysis, please use the H3D file generated after solving the FEM
  3. Once Post Processing is done, you can review the plots and results to view the squeak and rattle issues.
Form the analysis, it can be noticed that the static load applied is not causing any squeak or rattle issue in the model. The relative displacements for all the interfaces are well below the gap and gap-tolerance values.

  4. You can refer to Optimization Setup to learn more about the optimization solver deck setup to further optimize the design and analyse the reduced SnR issues.
