Thermal Effects Loadcase Tutorial

For the purpose of tutorial, you will make use of the solver deck (FEM) file from the first usecase, Risk and Root Cause (Dynamic) Analysis.

Multiple Loadcase Definition

Below are the steps to setup the Dynamic and Static loadcase setup for the tutorial model.

Note: You are advised to make a copy of the FEM and the _pre-_output.csv generated at the completion of Risk and Root Cause (Dynamic) Analysis workflow.
  1. Launch HyperWorks Desktop 2022 from installed location.

    HyperWorks Desktop 2022 will open and user interface will be displayed as shown below.

  2. Click Directors > SNRD

  3. All the pre processing tasks will be loaded and displayed in the SnRD-Pre tab.

  4. Click in the Model File field.

    Browse and select Tutorial_IP_SNR_Model.fem from the Risk and Root Cause (Dynamic) Analysis model folder.

  5. Select dts_document.csv and materialdb_sar.csv from the tutorial files location for DTS File and Material Data File options.
  6. Click Apply.

    An user message will be displayed for E-Line Pre-output CSV import option.

  7. Click Import. A file browser window will appear. Browse and select Tutorial_IP_SNR_Model_pre_output.csv from the Risk and Root Cause (Dynamic) Analysis model folder.

    This will import the Dynamic workflow solver deck into Static Loacase Setup

  8. Click Next to continue the process.
