Modal Damping Definition

In this step, you can create and define modal damping properties for the load steps in the model. The panel for the same is shown below.

support three damping types:
  1. Global - G
  2. Critical - CRIT
  3. Quality Factor - Q
The operations that can be performed on this panel are:
  1. Subcase - to select the required subcase from a drop down list.
  2. Select required Damping Type from the list
  3. Add or Delete rows in the table.
  4. Also, you can import CVS files for damping definition.
  5. Add - to create and add the TABDMP cards in the second table.
  6. Refresh - to refresh the table data.
  7. Update -to update a previously created TABDMP card
  8. Delete Selected and Delete All options to delete the TABDMP cards from the second table.
