Variant Pad Shape

Check the clearance between the variant pad, vias, routing patterns, and other objects.

Variant pad is the changeable pad of the component depending on design models. To use this feature, variant pads shape should be reserved on another layer.
  • Target Components & Pad Layer Definition: Define the component with variant pads and a pad definition layer.

    • Item: Specify the item name.
    • Comp Group: Select the target component group from list.
    • Pad Shape Layer: Select the layer where the variant pad exists from the artwork layer list.
  • Variant Pad Clearance
    • Clearance between Variant Pad and Via: Set the clearance value between the variant pad and vias.
    • Clearance between Variant Pad and Routing Pattern: Set the clearance value between the variant pad and routing patterns.
