Displaying the remanent magnetic flux density on magnets
Introduction
Magnets are available in Flux 2D and Flux 3D projects in Magneto Static and Transient Magnetic applications.
- the state of the scenario, i.e., if it has been solved or not;
- the type of application and
- the type of magnet material.
The following sections present the required procedures under the different circumstances.
Before solving the scenario (in pre-processing)
- Click on the menu Physics;
- Choose option Display arrows on magnets: material Br.
After solving the scenario (in post-processing)
After solving a scenario, the remanent magnetic flux density of the magnet may be displayed through the following actions:
- Click on the menu Graphic;
- Select the option Graphics on magnets;
- Choose one of the following three options:
- Display arrows on magnets: material Br: this action displays the remanent magnetic flux density of all magnets, with the intensities defined in the material and with the direction and orientation defined in the region. This value is not affected by the resolution of the scenario, and the results obtained are similar to the ones obtained while in pre-processing with the procedure described in the previous section.
- Display arrows on magnets: Br at the current step: this action displays the remanent magnetic flux density of all magnets at the current step as an arrow plot and accounts for an eventual demagnetization, which is evaluated during the resolution of the scenario. Only available in Transient Magnetic applications. Moreover, the displayed results are only different from (1) above in the case of magnets described with the material of type Magnet (unidirectional): demagnetization curve (Hc, Br) with the demagnetization option enabled).
- Display isovalues on magnets: Br at the current step: similar to the previous arrow plot, but the values are displayed as isovalues instead. Only the modulus or absolute value of the remanent magnetic flux density is displayed as a scalar quantity.
