Ply Orientation Summary

The ply orientation summary module generates the entire model ply-based property summary based on ply thickness. The module creates the distribution summary as thickness, material ID, property ID and orientation of ply. Two options are used to create summary:
  • Entire Model Ply Orientation
  • Component wise Ply Orientation
  1. Right-click at the report or chapter level and select Report/Chapter > Add > Modules > Ply Orientation.
  2. Make your selections.
    1. Enter the name for the ply orientation summary.
    2. Entire Model Ply Orientation: Detailed summary table of ply orientation based on thickness and its orientation.
    3. Component wise Ply Orientation: An advanced option to create component wise ply orientation summary. Requires component selection.
    4. Component Selection: Component entity selection option. By default it is “all” components (the first 50 components if components > 50), but you can modify the selection.
    Once executed, the ply orientation summary output structure is:
    • Info of Model: Text note
    • Model thickness in mm: image file
