Order Change Panel

Use the Order Change panel to change element order.

Location: 1D, 2D, and 3D pages

Use the Order Change panel to change a group of elements from second order elements to first order elements, or vice versa.

Change to 1st Subpanel

Use the Change to 1st subpanel to change higher-order elements into first-order elements.

Option	Action
elems	Select the elements to change.

Use the Change to 2nd subpanel to change first-order elements into second-order elements.

elems	Select the elements to change.
midside nodes at extract midpoint / midside nodes projected to surfaces	Choose whether to place the mid-side nodes at the midpoint of the element edge or projected to surfaces associated with the elements.
use inferred surface if no geometry exists	Ensure the projection even if there is no underlying geometry when projecting mid-side nodes to a surface.

change order	Perform the change.
reject	Undo the mos recent change of element order.
return	Exit the panel.
