FE geometry is topology on top of mesh, meaning CAD and mesh exist as a single entity. The purpose of FE geometry
is to add vertices, edges, surfaces, and solids on FE models which have no CAD geometry.
Streamline the creation of properties and 1D stiffener mesh using the info read from
Marine CAD tools.
Restriction:OptiStruct, Nastran, and EXODUS are the
solvers currently supported for the Marine ribbon.
Create Section and Material Properties
Use the CAD Properties tool to generate PSHELL properties and Beam properties as well as material solver realization.
Beam Sections
Use the Beam Sections tool to create and edit standard beam sections, cross beam sections, and HyperBeam sketches.
Create Stiffener Mesh
Use Stiffener Mesh: Create tool to create 1D elements as shell stiffeners from orphan lines representing trailing edges.
Orient Bar2 Elements
Use the Stiffener Mesh: Orient tool to define bar2 orientation vectors or orientation nodes.
Offset Bar2 Elements
Use the Stiffener Mesh: Offset tool to manually set offsets or adjust beams on plates.
