Browsers supply a great deal of view-related functionality by listing the parts of a model in a tabular and/or tree-based
format, and providing controls inside the table that allow you to alter the display of model parts.
FE geometry is topology on top of mesh, meaning CAD and mesh exist as a single entity. The purpose of FE geometry
is to add vertices, edges, surfaces, and solids on FE models which have no CAD geometry.
Tools and workflows that are dedicated to rapidly creating new parts for specific use cases, or amending existing
parts. The current capabilities are focused on stiffening parts.
If a variability study is created in the session an additional export option is available to allow for export of a
variability study session which can be opened in HyperStudy to run a Stochastics or a DOE study.
Model Export allows you to export the prepared session to
run analysis in AltairOptiStruct. If a Variability Study is prepared, it can also
be exported and processed using HyperStudy.
Before you begin, all previous steps in the process need to
be performed. All E-Lines of interest and a dynamic loadcase must
exist in the model. Export the required loadcases and variability studies using the
Export OptiStruct Solver File option.
From Analyze group, select Export OptiStruct
Solver File.
The Model Export table opens.
Enter the name for the file to be exported in the File
Name field.
Select Preserve or Merge from the
Include File(s) drop-down list.
Click Export.
Model file(s) (.fem) along with a
_preoutput.csv file are exported to the
selected folder.
If Variability study is selected then, SnRD
will also export the following:
.tpl file: Parametrized version of the
model file.
.xml file: Study file containing HyperStudy setup.
Browse and select the required folder.
Note: During the solver file export, SnRD also exports
E-Lines information to a CSV file. This file will be
later used in the post-processing of results.
Tip: If you have not mapped Material or GD&T data to E-Lines in the session, these can be manually updated in the
CSV file after export and before Post-processing.
Restriction: If Include File(s) structure is used and selected to
Preserve, then all E-Lines and related information must
be located main file. Post-processing is dependent on this.
This will export the OptiStruct solver deck
to the selected folder.
Export Variability Study
If a variability study is created in the session an additional export option is available to allow for export of a variability study session which can be opened in HyperStudy to run a Stochastics or a DOE study.
