Browsers supply a great deal of view-related functionality by listing the parts of a model in a tabular and/or tree-based
format, and providing controls inside the table that allow you to alter the display of model parts.
FE geometry is topology on top of mesh, meaning CAD and mesh exist as a single entity. The purpose of FE geometry
is to add vertices, edges, surfaces, and solids on FE models which have no CAD geometry.
Tools and workflows that are dedicated to rapidly creating new parts for specific use cases, or amending existing
parts. The current capabilities are focused on stiffening parts.
Use SnRD Post Processing tab to load and process the
results.
The post-processing operation requires the model used for analyzing the squeak and
rattle phenomena. Post-processing will require the solver deck
(.FEM) exported from the pre-processing module. This solver
deck is used throughout post-processing for creation of contour plots.
Using the file browser option , browse and select the OptiStruct solver file and the pre output CSV file for
the Model File and Pre-Output File selections.
Note:SnRD will also look for the pre-output file and
if present in the same folder as the solver file, it will be displayed in
the Pre-Output File field. In case the pre-output file is not present in the
same folder as the FEM file, a warning message will be displayed.
Click under Results File(s)
section.
A file browser dialog opens.
Browse and select the required .PCH and .H3D
files.
The selected file(s) are listed in the Results file(s)
table.
The solver results file(s) is scanned for subcases, if found subcases are
listed in the Subcase Selection table.
Click in Save Session File
field.
A folder selection is displayed.
Browse and select the required folder.
Name the session file and click Save.
Once selected, SnRD will write out all the
required session files to in the folder during the execution.
Select the required analysis type for Analysis Type list.
Select the required line from the Line(s) to analyze list.
Tip: You can select individual line or select
All lines in the model.
Enter the value for % statistical evaluation.
Select required radio button from Session Type options.
Click Execute.
Once execution is complete, a execution success message appears.
Click Close.
This process plots all the required data and graphs to analyze the squeak and
rattle issues. Using the plotted results, you can perform the further post
processing steps.
