Risk Assessment
Assess the squeak and rattle risks by viewing the results from the squeak and rattle analysis.
Rattle Evaluation
The automatic assessment allows the understanding of the rattle phenomena using the following:
- Relative Displacement (X, Y, Z, MAG)
- Relative movement between the two components along the Evaluation lines.
This is available in all directions:
- Z defines the Gap Direction
- X-Y defines the Contact Plane
- Dynamic Tolerance
- Upfront Risk or No Risk where the relative displacement is compared to the actual Gap and tolerance values.
- Contact Risk Index
- If there are risks for the rattle, these can be further quantified using CRI based on the stiffness of the interface. A soft interface has a lower risk for an audible Rattle than a hard interface.
Squeak Evaluation
- Max Principal P2P
- The largest magnitude in the MAX principal direction of the movement in the contact plane. To determine possible risk this value can be compared to the (IR)-1 from stick-slip testing.
- Min Principal P2P
- The largest magnitude in the MIN principal direction of the movement in the contact plane.
