*metadatamarkstringarray

Creates string array metadata on the specified mark of entities.

Syntax

*metadatamarkstringarray entity_type mark_id name string_array number_of_strings

Creates string array metadata on the specified mark of entities.

entity_type: The type of entities contained on the mark.; The undef entity type is used to store metadata on the model itself.
mark_id: The ID of the mark containing the entities to which the metadata will be added. Valid values are 1 and 2.
name: The name by which the metadata will be referenced.
string_array: The ID of the string array that contains the values. The array is created using the *createstringarray command. This should always be set to 1.
number_of_strings: Integer indicating the size (number of strings) in the array created using *createsrtingarray.

To add metadata named String_Vals with the values "Warped" and "Elements" to elements 1-100:

*createmark elems 1 1-100
*createstringarray 2 "Warped" "Elements"
*metadatamarkstringarray elems 1 "String_Vals" 1 2

Incorrect usage results in a Tcl error. To detect errors, you can use the catch command:

if { [ catch {command_name...} ] } {
   # Handle error
}
