Deletes a column of data from a table.

Syntax

*tabledeletecolumn name column_index

Deletes a column of data from a table.

name: The name of the table to update.
column_index: The index of the column to delete. Tables are indexed starting from 1 (1 to n columns). If specified as 0, the last column in the table is deleted.

To delete the last column from table1, which has 11 columns:

*tabledeletecolumn table1 0

*tabledeletecolumn table1 11

To delete column 3 from table1:

*tabledeletecolumn table1 3

Incorrect usage results in a Tcl error. To detect errors, you can use the catch command:

if { [ catch {command_name...} ] } {
