Discrete DVS Panel
Use the Discrete dvs panel to define a discrete design variable value table for use in size or shape optimization, which maybe be referenced in the ddval = field on the Size, Gauge or Shape panels..
Location: Analysis page > Optimization panel
Note: Only available in the OptiStruct solver interface.
Panel Options
| Option | Action |
|---|---|
| name | Enter a name (maximum of 8 characters). |
| individual values | Enter the individual values. |
| value range: from | Enter the starting number for the value range. |
| value range: to | Enter the ending number for the value range. |
| value range: increment | Enter an increment for values within the range. |
