Definitions

Field Contents SI Unit Example
SID Entry identification number.

(Integer > 0)

GID/GSETID
GID
Grid or scalar point identification number.
(Integer > 0 or <PartName.number>) 2
GSETID
Identification number for a SET of grids. In this case, the GSET continuation line must be specified.
(Integer > 0)

VAL Point current magnitude.

(Real)

GSET Flag which indicates that the GID/GSETID field is identified as a set of grids at which the forces are applied.

Comments

  1. This card is a steady current applied to a grid point. A positive value means the current flows into the conductor and a negative value means the current flows out of the conductor.
  2. String-based labels allow for easier visual identification of sets when being referenced by other cards. Refer to String Label Based Input File for additional information.
  3. This card is represented as an electrical current load in HyperMesh.
