hm_exportplyorientation

Writes the fiber orientation vector for each element in a ply to a text file.

Syntax

hm_exportplyorientation mark_id filename

Writes the fiber orientation vector for each element in a ply to a text file.

mark_id: The ID of the mark containing the plies to write. Valid values are 1 and 2.
filename: The full path and filename of the text file.

To write the fiber orientation vector for elements in all plies:

*createmark 1 plys all
hm_exportplyorientation  1 "C:/temp/drape.txt"

Incorrect usage results in a Tcl error. To detect errors, you can use the catch command:

if { [ catch {command_name...} ] } {
   # Handle error
}
